What is ReGrowth?

Our Story

After the Australian Wildfires in 2019-2020, the country’s unique flora and fauna in southern New South Wales and eastern Victoria were decimated. The devastating impact was felt internationally and donations were flooding in to assist the affected communities, families and wildlife. However, donations didn’t seem to be enough so our small group was formed with the intention to make a difference in the longterm. We decided to start replanting the native plants in each region, encouraging the fauna to return and giving the environment a head-start at regrowth.

ReGrowth Objectives

The Path to Success

- To replant, replenish and regrow native Australian vegetation in the most fire affected forests in Victoria.

- To replant with the permission of the Aboriginal communities who are the rightful owners of the land.

- Aiming to restore the natural biodiversity of Victorian forests and wildlife.

Our Plans

A Comprehensive Approach

With permissions and education from the Traditional Owners and Australian environmental management groups, we want to source the seeds that are native to each affected ecosystem. Some seeds will be grown into seedlings on the group members properties. Once they are grown to an appropriate size, we plan to drive them out to the affected areas and replant them in the same numbers as their natural diversity.

Environmental Goals

Expert Guidance

With Australian environmental management groups and the Aboriginal communities on our side, we hope to start small, growing and planting at least 100 trees a month. But once we receive continued environmental education and support, we will be able to increase our visits to the affected regions and assist regrowing what the bushfires destroyed.
